The Arkansas District-Autonomy Pathway

Effective August 10, 2024, Arkansas's Rules Governing Professional Development require school districts to provide teachers with six days of professional development as part of their basic 190-day contract. Districts have full autonomy in selecting and planning relevant and appropriate offerings. Per the Arkansas Department of Education: "Districts are not required to select DESE approved professional development providers when the professional development offered by the district is offered exclusively for their employees." DESE no longer approves outside providers or issues approval codes.

iTeachAI Academy was built specifically for this district-autonomy pathway. Districts review, approve, and document our courses locally. Teachers complete courses, receive a Certificate of Completion, and submit it to the district for credit toward the six-day requirement and toward licensure renewal.

Each course cites and references specific Arkansas frameworks by name, not generic national standards.

What Makes Arkansas Coursework Different at iTeachAI

For Arkansas School District Leadership

If you direct curriculum, professional learning, federal programs, or instruction at an Arkansas district, I would be glad to send a free reviewer account so a designee can audit any course end to end before approval.

I will also share a sample certificate, the course catalog with descriptions, and a fifteen-minute call at your convenience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is iTeachAI Academy approved by Arkansas DESE?
Effective August 10, 2024, ADE eliminated the state-level approval program. DESE no longer approves outside professional development providers or issues approval codes. How many clock hours does each course provide?
Three clock hours per course, IACET-aligned, suitable for documentation toward the six-day district-provided PD required under Arkansas's basic 190-day teacher contract.
What does it cost?
Each course is $25. The full Arkansas bundle of 25 courses is $499 (a $126 savings). District site licenses are available on request.
How do Arkansas districts approve outside PD now?
Per ADE's August 2024 rule, districts are not required to select DESE approved providers when the PD is offered exclusively for their employees. Districts make the local selection and document hours toward the basic six-day requirement and toward licensure renewal.
How is iTeachAI different from MagicSchool, Khanmigo, or ISTE U?
iTeachAI is built by a former 28-year K-12 educator and anchors every course to the actual Arkansas frameworks, not generic national content. We provide three-clock-hour courses suitable for Arkansas district documentation, not just AI tools.
Do you provide a certificate of completion?
Yes. Every completed course awards a Certificate of Completion suitable for documentation toward Arkansas educator licensure renewal at the district level.
