iTeachAI Academy

Florida Teacher Recertification, Done Online

Because great teachers never stop learning.

FLDOE Framework Aligned

Earn the inservice points you need to renew your Florida teaching certificate, on your own schedule. iTeachAI Academy offers standards-aligned professional development for K-12 educators, anchored to Florida frameworks, each course three clock hours, with a Certificate of Completion that documents toward your renewal.

Florida requires professional certificate holders to earn 120 inservice points, or 6 college semester hours, every five years. iTeachAI Academy was founded by Dr. Janette Camacho, a 30-year K-12 educator, and every Florida course is anchored to specific Florida Department of Education frameworks, not generic national content. Courses are self-paced, work on any device, and are designed to fit Florida's district Master Inservice Plan pathway for certificate renewal.

Florida Certificate Renewal Requirements

To renew a professional educator certificate, the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) and the State Board of Education require continuing education completed during each five-year validity period under Florida Statute 1012.585:

  • 120 inservice points or 6 college semester hours (or a combination) every five years. Twenty inservice points in an approved district Master Inservice Plan equal one semester hour.
  • At least 1 semester hour or 20 inservice points in teaching students with disabilities (SWD) as part of the total.
  • 2 semester hours or 40 inservice points in developmental literacy for renewals on or after July 1, 2024, with science of reading and dyslexia content required for certain certifications under Rule 6A-6.053.
  • Renewal applications are submitted through the FLDOE Online Licensing Services system to the Bureau of Educator Certification before the certificate expiration date.

Every iTeachAI Academy course provides three IACET-aligned clock hours and a verifiable Certificate of Completion you can document toward this total. iTeachAI Academy is not a state-approved provider in Florida. Confirm with your district how external inservice points are recorded.

How Florida Districts Approve iTeachAI for Inservice Points

Florida does not maintain a state-approved provider list for online professional development. Florida school districts approve outside courses through their State Board approved Master Inservice Plan and document them as inservice points for educator certificate renewal under FS 1012.585. iTeachAI Academy courses are anchored to FLDOE frameworks and designed for that pathway. The district route is simple:

  1. A district designee reviews one or more courses through a no-cost reviewer account.
  2. The district documents approved courses on its inservice form under the Master Inservice Plan.
  3. Teachers complete courses, receive a Certificate of Completion, and submit it for renewal credit.

What Makes Florida Coursework Different at iTeachAI

For Florida School District Leadership

If you direct curriculum, professional learning, or federal programs at a Florida district, I would be glad to send a no-cost reviewer account so a designee can audit any course end to end before approval.

I will also share a sample certificate, the course catalog with descriptions, and a fifteen-minute call at your convenience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is iTeachAI Academy continuing education for already-licensed teachers, or initial teacher preparation?
It is continuing education for educators who are already licensed in Florida and renewing their certificate. iTeachAI Academy provides clock hours toward your renewal. We do not prepare candidates for a first-time teaching credential and our courses do not lead to initial licensure.
How do I renew my Florida teaching certificate?
Professional certificate holders renew every five years by earning 120 inservice points or 6 college semester hours (or a combination) and submitting a renewal application through the FLDOE Online Licensing Services system to the Bureau of Educator Certification before the expiration date. At least 1 semester hour or 20 inservice points must address teaching students with disabilities. iTeachAI courses provide clock hours and a Certificate of Completion you document toward that total.
Do iTeachAI courses count toward my 120 inservice points?
Each course provides three IACET-aligned clock hours with a Certificate of Completion suitable for documentation toward Florida certificate renewal. Florida does not maintain a state-approved online provider list. Districts approve outside PD through their Master Inservice Plan and log it as inservice points, and our courses are anchored to FLDOE frameworks for that pathway. Confirm with your district how external PD is recorded.
How many clock hours does each course provide?
Three clock hours per course, IACET-aligned, suitable for the Florida district inservice form and your renewal total.
What does it cost in time and money?
iTeachAI keeps cost and time reasonable. Each course runs about three clock hours, is self-paced, and stays accessible for individual teachers, with district site licenses available. Email info@iteachai.co for current options.
Do you provide a certificate of completion?
Yes. Every completed course awards a verifiable Certificate of Completion with contact hours, suitable for documentation toward Florida educator certificate renewal.
How do I get a reviewer account for my district?
Email info@iteachai.co with your district name and role. A no-cost reviewer account is provisioned within one business day.
