iTeachAI Academy

Indiana Teacher Recertification, Done Online

Because great teachers never stop learning.

Indiana Standards Aligned

Earn the PGP points you need to renew your Indiana teaching license, on your own schedule. iTeachAI Academy offers standards-aligned professional development for K-12 educators, anchored to Indiana frameworks, each course three clock hours, with a Certificate of Completion that documents toward your Professional Growth Plan.

Indiana renews a Professional Educator License every five years, and most educators meet the requirement with a 90-point Professional Growth Plan (PGP), where one clock hour of approved professional development equals one PGP point. iTeachAI Academy was founded by Dr. Janette Camacho, a 30-year K-12 educator, and every Indiana course is anchored to specific Indiana frameworks, not generic national content. Courses are self-paced, work on any device, and are designed to fit the Indiana PGP and district professional development pathways.

Indiana Certificate Renewal Requirements

To renew a Professional Educator License, the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) Office of Educator Licensing requires a completed Professional Growth Plan during each five-year period, submitted through the state licensing portal:

  • 90-point Professional Growth Plan (PGP) for a standard five-year or ten-year Professional Educator License, where one clock hour of approved professional development equals one PGP point.
  • Coursework alternative: six semester hours from a regionally accredited institution may be used in place of, or blended into, the PGP (one semester credit hour equals 15 PGP points).
  • Renewal applications and PGP documentation are submitted through the Licensing Verification and Information System (LVIS) at lvis.doe.in.gov.
  • Every renewal also requires valid CPR and AED certification from an IDOE-approved provider and child abuse and neglect training.
  • Eligible PGP activities include workshops, conferences, committee and school improvement work, curriculum development, mentoring, and coursework.

Every iTeachAI Academy course provides three IACET-aligned clock hours and a verifiable Certificate of Completion you can document toward your PGP total. iTeachAI is not a formally state-approved provider in Indiana, so confirm with your district or the IDOE Office of Educator Licensing how external professional development is recorded toward your plan.

How Indiana Districts Apply iTeachAI Toward Professional Growth Plans

Indiana approves educator professional development for renewal at the local level. iTeachAI is not a formally state-approved provider in Indiana. Indiana school districts and the educators they employ may apply standards-aligned professional development toward a 90-point Professional Growth Plan at their discretion under district policy. iTeachAI Academy courses are aligned to the Indiana Academic Standards and built to fit that pathway. The district route is simple:

  1. A district designee reviews one or more courses through a no-cost reviewer account.
  2. The district documents acceptable courses within its professional development or PGP guidance.
  3. Teachers complete courses, receive a Certificate of Completion, and document the clock hours toward their PGP in LVIS.

Always verify with your district or the IDOE Office of Educator Licensing how external professional development is logged before you submit your renewal.

What Makes Indiana Coursework Different at iTeachAI

For Indiana School District Leadership

If you direct curriculum, professional learning, or federal programs at an Indiana district, I would be glad to send a no-cost reviewer account so a designee can audit any course end to end before you accept it toward your educators' Professional Growth Plans.

I will also share a sample certificate, the course catalog with descriptions, and a fifteen-minute call at your convenience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is iTeachAI Academy continuing education for already-licensed teachers, or initial teacher preparation?
It is continuing education for educators who are already licensed in Indiana and renewing their certificate. iTeachAI Academy provides clock hours toward your renewal. We do not prepare candidates for a first-time teaching credential and our courses do not lead to initial licensure.
How do I renew my Indiana teaching certificate?
Professional Educator License holders renew every five years by completing a 90-point Professional Growth Plan (PGP), where one clock hour of approved professional development equals one PGP point, and submitting the application through the Licensing Verification and Information System (LVIS). Six semester hours of coursework is an alternative pathway. Renewals also require valid CPR and AED certification from an IDOE-approved provider and child abuse and neglect training. iTeachAI courses provide three clock hours and a Certificate of Completion you can document toward that total.
Do iTeachAI courses count toward my 90-point PGP?
Each course provides three IACET-aligned clock hours with a Certificate of Completion suitable for documentation toward an Indiana Professional Growth Plan, where one clock hour equals one PGP point. iTeachAI is not a formally state-approved provider in Indiana. Indiana educators and districts may apply standards-aligned professional development toward a PGP at their discretion, so confirm with your district or the IDOE Office of Educator Licensing how external professional development is logged.
How many clock hours does each course provide?
Three clock hours per course, IACET-aligned. In Indiana one clock hour equals one PGP point, so each course documents toward three points of your 90-point Professional Growth Plan.
What does it cost in time and money?
iTeachAI keeps cost and time reasonable. Each course runs about three clock hours, is self-paced, and stays accessible for individual teachers, with district site licenses available. Email info@iteachai.co for current options.
Do you provide a certificate of completion?
Yes. Every completed course awards a verifiable Certificate of Completion with contact hours, suitable for documentation toward Indiana educator license renewal through a Professional Growth Plan.
How do I get a reviewer account for my district?
Email info@iteachai.co with your district name and role. A no-cost reviewer account is provisioned within one business day.
