Earn the professional development contact hours you need to renew your Missouri teaching certificate, on your own schedule. iTeachAI Academy offers standards-aligned professional development for K-12 educators, anchored to Missouri frameworks, each course three contact hours, with a Certificate of Completion that documents toward your renewal.
Missouri requires Career Continuous Professional Certificate holders to complete 15 contact hours of professional development each year until exempt, and Initial Professional Certificate holders to complete 30 contact hours across their four-year certificate. iTeachAI Academy was founded by Dr. Janette Camacho, a 30-year K-12 educator, and every Missouri course is anchored to specific Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education frameworks, not generic national content. Courses are self-paced, work on any device, and are designed to fit Missouri district professional development pathways.

Missouri Certificate Renewal Requirements
Missouri teaching certificates are administered by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Renewal requirements depend on the certificate stage:
- Initial Professional Certificate (IPC), valid four years. To upgrade to the Career Continuous Professional Certificate, an educator completes 30 contact hours of professional development across the four years, two years of district mentoring, a two-year Beginning Teacher Assistance Program (BTAP), the district annual Performance Based Teacher Evaluation, and a professional development plan on file with the district.
- Career Continuous Professional Certificate (CCPC). Holders complete 15 contact hours of professional development each year until exempt. An educator may become exempt from the annual requirement by meeting two of three criteria: ten years of teaching experience, an advanced degree, or National Board or DESE-recognized national certification.
- Contact hour conversion. One college credit hour equals 15 professional development contact hours in Missouri.
- Renewals and applications are processed through the DESE Certification Account Portal, and professional development is accepted at the district level under each district's professional development committee.
iTeachAI is not a state-approved provider in Missouri. Every iTeachAI Academy course provides three IACET-aligned contact hours and a verifiable Certificate of Completion that educators and districts may apply toward renewal at their discretion. Confirm with your district professional development committee and with DESE how external contact hours are recorded.

How Missouri Districts Approve iTeachAI for Professional Development
iTeachAI is not a state-approved provider in Missouri, and we make no claim that any state agency has approved iTeachAI. In Missouri, professional development is accepted at the district level, where each district professional development committee approves the learning its educators apply toward renewal. iTeachAI Academy courses are aligned to the Missouri Learning Standards and Missouri Teacher Standards and are designed to fit that district pathway. The route is simple:
- A district designee reviews one or more courses through a no-cost reviewer account.
- The district professional development committee documents approved courses on its professional development record.
- Teachers complete courses, receive a Certificate of Completion, and submit it for renewal credit at the district's discretion.

For Missouri School District Leadership
If you direct curriculum, professional learning, or federal programs at a Missouri district, I would be glad to send a no-cost reviewer account so a designee can audit any course end to end before approval.
I will also share a sample certificate, the course catalog with descriptions, and a fifteen-minute call at your convenience.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is iTeachAI Academy continuing education for already-licensed teachers, or initial teacher preparation?
- It is continuing education for educators who are already licensed in Missouri and renewing their certificate. iTeachAI Academy provides clock hours toward your renewal. We do not prepare candidates for a first-time teaching credential and our courses do not lead to initial licensure.
- How do I renew my Missouri teaching certificate?
- Missouri certificates are renewed through DESE. Initial Professional Certificate holders complete 30 contact hours of professional development over their four-year certificate, plus two years of mentoring, a two-year Beginning Teacher Assistance Program, annual performance-based evaluation, and a district professional development plan, to upgrade to the Career Continuous Professional Certificate. Career Continuous holders then complete 15 contact hours each year until exempt. Applications are processed through the DESE Certification Account Portal. iTeachAI courses provide contact hours and a Certificate of Completion you document toward that total.
- Do iTeachAI courses count toward my Missouri professional development contact hours?
- Each course provides three IACET-aligned contact hours with a Certificate of Completion suitable for documentation toward Missouri professional development. iTeachAI is not a state-approved provider in Missouri. Because Missouri professional development is accepted at the district level, our standards-aligned courses may be applied toward renewal at the district's discretion. Confirm with your district professional development committee and with DESE how external contact hours are logged.
- How many contact hours does each course provide?
- Three contact hours per course, IACET-aligned, suitable for the Missouri district professional development record and your renewal total. One college credit hour equals 15 contact hours in Missouri, so five iTeachAI courses are comparable to one credit hour of documented professional development.
- What does it cost in time and money?
- iTeachAI keeps cost and time reasonable. Each course runs about three clock hours, is self-paced, and stays accessible for individual teachers, with district site licenses available. Email info@iteachai.co for current options.
- Do you provide a certificate of completion?
- Yes. Every completed course awards a verifiable Certificate of Completion with contact hours, suitable for documentation toward Missouri educator certificate renewal.
- How do I get a reviewer account for my district?
- Email info@iteachai.co with your district name and role. A no-cost reviewer account is provisioned within one business day.
