WA Standards Aligned

Earn the clock hours you need to renew your Washington teaching certificate, on your own schedule. iTeachAI Academy offers standards-aligned professional development for K-12 educators, anchored to Washington frameworks, each course three clock hours, with a Certificate of Completion that documents toward your license renewal.

Washington requires educators holding a Residency, Professional, or Continuing certificate to complete 100 clock hours every five years to renew. iTeachAI Academy was founded by Dr. Janette Camacho, a 30-year K-12 educator, and every Washington course is anchored to specific Washington State Learning Standards and certification frameworks, not generic national content. Courses are self-paced, work on any device, and are designed as district-acceptable professional development that educators and districts may apply toward the clock hour and Professional Growth Plan pathways.

Washington Certificate Renewal Requirements

To renew a Washington Residency, Professional, or Continuing teaching certificate, the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) requires continuing education completed during each five-year period, with clock hour providers approved by the Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB):

  • 100 clock hours every five years, or the equivalent in college credit, or four annual Professional Growth Plans (PGPs), or a combination of PGPs and clock hours totaling 100.
  • One PGP equals 25 clock hours, and only one PGP may be completed per year of the certificate cycle.
  • The 100 hours must include 15 clock hours on equity-based school practices aligned to the Cultural Competency, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (CCDEI) standards, effective July 1, 2023, under House Bill 1426.
  • Educators holding a STEM endorsement must include 15 STEM-integration clock hours in the renewal cycle.
  • Renewal applications are submitted through the OSPI E-Certification system, and clock hours must be earned after the issue date of your current certificate.

iTeachAI Academy is not a formally state-approved clock hour provider in Washington. Every course provides three IACET-aligned clock hours and a verifiable Certificate of Completion, offered as standards-aligned, district-acceptable professional development that educators and districts may apply toward this total at their discretion. Verify with your district or the OSPI certification office how external clock hours are recorded.

  3. Teachers complete courses, receive a Certificate of Completion, and submit it for renewal credit at the district's discretion.

What Makes Washington Coursework Different at iTeachAI

For Washington School District Leadership

If you direct curriculum, professional learning, or federal programs at a Washington district, I would be glad to send a no-cost reviewer account so a designee can audit any course end to end before approval.

I will also share a sample certificate, the course catalog with descriptions, and a fifteen-minute call at your convenience.
