Alabama operates multiple PD approval pathways. The TEAMS (Teacher Excellence and Accountability for Mathematics and Science) program reviews STEM-focused courses through ALSDE. The Alabama Reading Initiative reviews literacy courses, with an upcoming RFP for Science of Reading PD providers. Districts also approve PD locally for educator certificate renewal. iTeachAI is positioned across all three pathways. iTeachAI Academy is designed for that pathway:
- A district designee reviews one or more courses through a free reviewer account.
- The district documents approved courses on its in-service form.
- Participating teachers complete courses, receive a Certificate of Completion, and submit it to the district for renewal credit.
