The short version
iTeachAI Academy is a professional development platform for adult educators. We collect the minimum we need to run your courses: your email address, your name for your certificate, and nothing else by default. We never sell your information. The only time we share it is when you ask us to report your completed course to your state, and only in the states where that reporting exists.
What we collect, and why
- Email address. Your account identifier and how we send your receipts, certificates, and course updates. Marketing emails always include an unsubscribe link.
- Your name. Required so your completion certificates carry the name your school and state expect to see.
- Educator identification number (certain states only, only at your request). If you complete a course in a state where iTeachAI files completions on your behalf (for example a Wyoming PTSB number or an Alabama ALSDE ID), we ask for that number only when you request state reporting. We use it solely to file your credit and for no other purpose. Teachers in all other states are never asked for it.
- Course progress and assessment results. Stored so you can resume lessons and so we can issue a truthful certificate of the hours you completed.
- Payment information. Handled entirely by our payment processor. Card numbers never touch or get stored on our servers.
- Optional form information. If you join an interest list (for example the Puerto Rico early list), we store the name, email, role, and state you choose to give us.
- Course assistant conversations. Questions you ask the in-course helper are processed by our AI service provider to generate the answer. Please do not include personal information about students in your questions.
- Technical logs. Our servers keep standard access logs (IP address, browser type) for security and fraud prevention.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We never collect information from children. iTeachAI Academy is for adult educators, and our services are not directed at anyone under 18.
- We never share your educator ID or completions with any state agency unless you asked us to file them.
Who we share with
- State education agencies and their sponsors, at your request only: your name, educator ID, completed course title, completion date, and contact hours, sent to the body that records your credit (for example Wyoming PTSB, or the Michigan SCECH sponsor).
- Service providers who run our infrastructure: payment processing, email delivery, and web hosting. They receive only what is needed to perform their service.
- Legal requirements: we will disclose information if a law or valid legal process requires it.
Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe from marketing email with one click; transactional email (receipts, certificates) continues while you hold an account.
- You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing janette.camacho@iteachai.co. We answer within 30 days. Note that we keep records of issued certificates and state filings, since educators and agencies rely on them for verification.
Retention and security
We keep account and certificate records while your account is active and as long as certificate verification requires. Passwords are stored hashed, connections are encrypted with HTTPS, and our database is not publicly accessible.
